Introduction of silicon carbide heating element coating
 
  Silicon carbide heating element coating is a kind of synthetic film,which is coating the surface of hot zone after production silicon carbide heating element,it can extend the life of silicon carbide heating element in the special using environment,Can be separated from the gas to accelerate the aging of silicon carbide heating element,to protect the silicon carbide heating element,for more details of coating please see the following introduction:
1. T coating: this coating is using for lower oxidation rate in normal use,make the silicon carbide heating element extend working life of 30-60%.
2. D coating: this coating is using in the case of nitrogen
3. S coating: this coating is using in three phase rods(W type silicon carbide heating element) float glass
4. Q coating: this coating is using in the case of steam or hydrogen
 
 

Calculation for the selection of silicon carbide heating element

1. Calculation of silicon carbide heating element surface loading density

  Silicon carbide heating element surface loading density refers to the power shouldered by one unit surface,density=(Nominal power)/(Surface square) with the same furnace temperature,the life of rod is horter as the density is more qreater,so do not use silicon carbide heating element overloadedly.Relation of density,furnace temperature and surface temperature is as follow

2.Selection of silicon carbide heating element dimension and calculation of pieces

  Selection the silicon carbide heating element diamension attention must be paid to the structure of furnace,power and furnace temperature,also to the convenienence of wiring and power adjustment.

  silicon carbide heating element pieces can be calculated as follow:

  P1=F*W    F=surface square per rod   W=permitting load density of hot zone

  Necessary pieces:N=P/P1       P=furnace power value

  series pieces:n=U/u  U=end voltage of branch circuit     u=voltage per rod

3.Selection of electricity supply and the joint way of silicon carbide heating element

  It is better to select the electricity supply with a wide range of adjustable voltage,such as magan voltage regulator and adjustable siliconcontrol D.C.voltage etc.If leveled voltage regulatoris selected it is better to select the one with smaller level difference and more adjustable grades.

  Silicon carbide heating element joint ways can be series and parallel connection is better the branch pieces of silicon carbide heating element should not be more than three when series connection is used.The joint way and calculation method of common use is in the following chart.


 

USED NOTE 
 

 

1.Before installing you should check the marked resiscentace value of the cold end,then do arranging the resistances ensure the difference of enery group less than 0.1.

 

2.When the silicon carbide heating element go through the rodhole on both side of the furnace wall,you should rotate ir freely at 360 degree it is frbidden to install strongly and beat our silicon carbide heating element

 

3.To use silicon carbide heating element you must prepare sdjustable voltage regulator or silicon-control voltage regulator voltage meter current meter and auocontrol temperature meter silicon carbide heating element,in the duration of using the voltage should be increased to maintain the furnace temperature as normal because the resistance value willgoup gradually by oxidation of silicon carbide heating element when the volage value reaches the uplimit of regulator then the temperature can not meet ruquirement,you should stop the furnace change the way of wifing and goon working.

 

4.When a new furnace is in use,is should work at half of the rated power in case of silicon carbide heating element broken,after everything goes smoothly,the voltage can beadded gradually according to the guidance preventing the silicon carbide heating element from breaking because of too high power

 

5.New or long-unused farances must be baked before using,it is better to use old silicon carbide heating element or other heating source

 

6.Do not use silicon carbide heating element overloadedly.If silicon carbide heating element break by fault or the heat radiation is not even,or same part appear whiteheat and dimred.Thant means silicon  carbide heatig element has aged asymmetrically and the resistance is too high from one segment to another and so you must chech the silicon carbide heating element and replace the old silicon carbide heating element,you should better replace all the silicon carbide heating element because partially replacement will result in the unbalanced loading and uneven temperature.The great voltage difference cause the great difference of silicon carbide heating element temperature seriously affecting the service life

 

7.The silicon carbide heating element should be stored in dry circumstance.If the al-coated end deteriorates,it can be coated again after surface dressing of the used after binding some-foil.

 

8.The silicon carbide heating element is hard and brittle,attention must be paid to transport open box install and replace.Handle with care and do not beat to avoid damage.
